This role will require a hands-on, roll up your sleeves mentality and vary in percent of time focused on front versus back-end development. Day to day will focus on maintaining, implementing, expanding exciting features as well as activities associated with other areas such as database and architecture design.

What You'll Do

• Work with product, design and other engineering teams to implement new features and transform existing products, within our Rails backend and React frontend
• Proactively identify and fix infrastructure bottlenecks to scale backend services to tens of thousands of requests per minute
• Take ownership of features at a product as well as a technical level, working closely with other engineers, designers, and colleagues across the company to define feature specifications
• Deploy to Production and Staging environments
• Join on-call rotation to respond to urgent bugs or outages

What We're Searching For

• 2-3 years of experience shipping complex, user-focused features for full-stack web development
• Significant experience with Ruby on Rails or another web framework (Express, Django, Phoenix, NextJS, etc)
• Significant experience with at least one front end framework: React, Vue, Angular or similar
• Experience working with relational databases and writing SQL queries
• Enjoy continuous learning of new technologies and best implementations
