Position Overview:
We seek a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting & Finance Generalist to manage day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and budgeting/forecasting. The ideal candidate has expertise in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Bill.com, payroll systems, and financial planning & analysis (FP&A) tools. They will oversee accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), reconciliations, and cash flow management, ensuring accurate financial records and supporting business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounting & Bookkeeping: Maintain the general ledger, reconcile accounts, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Accounts Receivable (AR) & Accounts Payable (AP): Oversee invoicing, collections, and vendor payments, ensuring timely processing.
- Payroll Management: Administer payroll using modern payroll systems, ensuring compliance with tax and labor regulations.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: To support strategic planning, develop financial models and forecasts using Excel and FP&A tools.
- Cash Flow & Financial Analysis: Monitor cash flow, track financial performance, and provide actionable insights.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal financial controls.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3+ years of accounting and finance experience, preferably in a small to mid-sized business environment.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Bill.com, and payroll systems (e.g., Rippling, Gusto, ADP, Paychex).
- Strong Excel skills, including data analysis, financial modeling, and forecasting.
- Experience with FP&A tools for budgeting, variance analysis, and performance tracking.
- Excellent understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally with leadership teams.
- Willingness to adapt to Pacific Time (PST) with 5-6 hours of overlap, primarily during evening hours.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in professional services, technology, or growth-stage businesses.
- Familiarity with BI reporting tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
- CPA, CMA, or similar certification is a plus but not required.
