Ideal Candidate Profile:

We are seeking a Real Estate Investment Analyst to support its principal in reviewing brokered and off-market deals according to a defined framework. This is not a cold-calling position. The ideal candidate for this role is a proactive and detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of commercial real estate finance. You should have a proven track record in financial modeling and investment analysis, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Your ability to communicate effectively with brokers, sellers, and other stakeholders will be key to your success in this role. There is significant potential for position growth over the next 5 years, as we regularly work with very large institutional investors.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the deal pipeline by reviewing new deals and extracting key data points for analysis with the principal.
  • Communicate decisions to pursue or reject deals with brokers and sellers.
  • Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support investment decisions.
  • Ensure all expenses, receipts, distributions, and other accounting transactions are accurately recorded.


Growth Opportunities:

After gaining familiarity with the industry, additional responsibilities you could grow into include:

  • Monitoring asset performance, including tracking NOI, expenses, and other variances through monthly and quarterly reporting.
  • Preparing and reviewing investor reports, including monthly and quarterly financial reviews and analysis.
  • Assisting in the development and analysis of annual operating budgets.
  • Conducting market and competitor analysis, including trends, competition reports, and general site information.
  • Coordinating due diligence items with brokers, lenders, and potential buyers for various transactions.
  • Preparing market analysis, competitor information, and demographic research for new acquisitions.
  • Interfacing with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with loan agreements and other contractual obligations.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in real estate finance, investment banking, private equity, or related fields. Strong internships will be considered.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a solid understanding of commercial real estate finance.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with commercial real estate finance or other investment models.
